Beyond the Technology: The Human Factors That Make or Break Digital Transformation in the NHS
Digital transformation rarely succeeds on technology alone. Even well designed solutions can struggle to embed when implementation disrupts established workflows, staff don’t see the value, professional identities are challenged or teams are already experiencing change fatigue.
This free 60 minute webinar brings together organisational psychology, NHS implementation experience and strategic communications to explore the human factors that influence whether new technology is genuinely adopted in practice.

What we'll cover:
-
Attendees will explore:
- Why digital transformation is fundamentally a behaviour change challenge, not simply a technology challenge.
- The human factors that can inhibit adoption, including trust, workflow disruption, professional identity, change fatigue and local culture.
- A real NHS case study exploring the implementation of Ambient Voice Technology (AVT) at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust.
- How the COM-B behaviour change model can be used to diagnose barriers to adoption.
- How stakeholder engagement, communications, champions and targeted messaging can support behaviour change.
- Five questions to ask before launching a new digital solution to improve the chances of successful adoption.
Who is it for?
-
This webinar is particularly relevant to:
CCIOs, CNIOs, CMIOs, CIOs, Digital Transformation Leads, Programme Managers, Clinical Informatics teams, digital implementation teams and others responsible for introducing or embedding new technology within NHS organisations.
What you'll take away
